We are a will-writing service. Will writing is not a reserved legal activity in England and Wales, and Copious Ltd is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We do not give legal, financial or tax advice. Where your circumstances need a solicitor, we say so and introduce you to our panel law firm.
Probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney are reserved or regulated work and are carried out by our panel law firm, which is regulated by the SRA. You instruct the firm directly, on its own terms and prices. The firm pays Copious Ltd a referral fee, which we disclose to you in writing before you instruct them. That fee, not your data, is how the free will is paid for.
Your will is assembled from a fixed library of clauses, each written for England and Wales law and under review by a solicitor at our panel firm. No artificial intelligence writes, rewrites or checks your will; the process is deterministic, so the same answers always give the same document. Clause-by-clause explanations and the conversation on this site may use AI, and are labelled as explanation, not advice.
Your answers and your will are processed on servers operated by Copious Ltd in the United Kingdom. They are not stored in a public cloud. After your will is shown and emailed to you we delete it. See the privacy notice.
The builder lets you leave a gift to any charity. It also offers two we support: Bikers' Mind and The Claim Foundation (registered charity 1218373). We receive nothing from either for the suggestion, and no charity is shown until the agreement required by the Charities Act 1992 is in place.
