Version 0.1, prototype for internal review, 22 August 2026. Copious Ltd.
PerfectWill is operated by Copious Ltd, company number 11437826, registered office Unit 2a Crown Business Park, Cowm Top Lane, Rochdale OL11 2PU ("we", "us"). These terms apply to your use of this website and the will-building tool on it.
The tool assembles a draft will for England and Wales from the answers you give. It is a drafting aid. It is not legal advice, and using it does not create a solicitor-client relationship with anyone. Will writing is not a reserved legal activity and we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
There is no charge for making a will with the tool, for updating it, for the annual check or for the executor note, and no charge will be introduced for a will you have already made. We do not require you to buy anything, and we do not sell your data. Our revenue comes from referral fees paid by our panel law firm when you choose to instruct it, which we disclose before you do.
The tool is designed for straightforward estates. It will decline to produce a will in certain cases (including assets outside England and Wales, business interests, trusts beyond age 18, and life-interest arrangements) and will tell you why. If you have any doubt, take advice from a solicitor before signing.
Where we introduce you to our panel law firm, you contract with that firm on its own terms and prices. We are not party to that contract. The firm pays us a referral fee, which we disclose to you in writing before you instruct it. We never take a share of court fees, registration fees or other disbursements.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, because the service is free and is a drafting aid you are responsible for checking, we are not liable for loss arising from inaccurate answers, from a will not being signed or witnessed correctly, from a change in your circumstances or the law after the will was made, or from a decision to use the tool where a solicitor was needed.
The clause library, the tool and this website are owned by Copious Ltd. You may use the will produced for you for any personal purpose. You may not copy the tool or the clause library for any commercial purpose.
We may change these terms or withdraw the service. A will you have already made and signed is unaffected by anything we do.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
